Entering the World of Work Module 1: Health and Safety in the Work Setting: Consumers will learn about OSHA, safe working conditions, unsafe working conditions, and disclosing illnesses and injuries. Consumers will also learn about Employer's responsibility to maintain and healthy and safe work environment, which includes information, training, and instructions.

Health and Safety Continued & Work Rules and Expectations Module 2: Consumers will learn about Harassment and Workers Compensation. In Module 2, consumers will learn about work place attendance, use of telephones and electronic devices, confidentiality, and drug and alcohol policies for employees.

YAAL Club members will complete a strength and skills assessment to utilize for their personal exploration plan. Each adult will be able to list 5 positive traits about themselves as they socially interact with their peers.

Work Rules and Expectations Continued and Employee Benefits, Payroll, and Paychecks Basics, Module 3: Consumers will learn about workplace privacy, dress codes, breaks and meals, illness, supervisor's roles, worker rights, employer rights, reasonable accommodations, and to request an accommodation. Consumers will begin Module 3 with learning how to complete a W-4 and an I-9.

Employee Benefits, Payroll, and Paycheck Basics: Consumers will learn how to ready a pay statement/check, they will learn about handbooks, wage deductions, Texas employee rights, benefits, and time off and leave.
